By using Kashi, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Kashi.
What Kashi Does
Kashi helps Japanese learners study lyrics by creating word lookups, readings, translations, vocabulary highlights, saved words, and review cards. Kashi is a learning tool, not an official language qualification service, music service, lyric publisher, or substitute for professional translation.
Accounts And Integrations
You may be able to sign in with Google or Spotify. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for any activity under your account. If you connect Spotify, your use of Spotify remains subject to Spotify's own terms and policies.
Kashi is not endorsed by, sponsored by, or affiliated with Spotify, Google, Apple Music, YouTube Music, artists, labels, or publishers unless stated otherwise.
User-Provided Lyrics And Content
Kashi is designed to help you study lyrics that you provide. You are responsible for the lyrics, text, and other content you add to Kashi, including making sure you have the rights or permission needed to use that content.
You must not use Kashi to upload, share, publish, distribute, or make available content in a way that infringes someone else's rights or breaks the law.
Study Output
Kashi may generate readings, meanings, translations, example sentences, JLPT-style levels, and review cards. This output can be helpful, but it may contain mistakes. You should use it as a study aid and check important language questions against reliable sources.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Misuse Kashi, interfere with the service, or try to access systems you are not authorised to access.
- Use automated scraping, bulk requests, or reverse engineering except where legally permitted.
- Use Kashi to infringe copyright, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
- Upload malicious code, abusive content, or content that is illegal to possess or share.
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit Kashi without written permission.
Availability And Changes
Kashi is still developing, so features may change, break, move, or be removed. We may suspend or stop parts of the service to maintain it, improve it, comply with legal requirements, or protect users.
Paid Features
Kashi may offer paid features in the future. If paid features are introduced, the price, billing terms, renewal rules, and cancellation options will be shown before you purchase.
Intellectual Property
Kashi, including its design, software, branding, and original content, belongs to Kashi or its licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership of Kashi to you.
You keep any rights you already have in content you provide, but you give Kashi permission to process that content as needed to provide the service.
Disclaimer
Kashi is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not promise that Kashi will be uninterrupted, error-free, perfectly accurate, or available forever.
Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Kashi is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, loss of data, loss of profits, or losses caused by third-party services or content.
Ending Access
You can stop using Kashi at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, created risk for the service, or used Kashi unlawfully.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your location require otherwise.
